Standby ambulance along five major routes


KOTA KINABALU:


St John Ambulance Malaysia, Sabah will be setting up Highway Emergency Ambulance Standby Stations during the two days before and after the Han Raya celebration along five major routes. They are at the Petronas station along the KK-Tuaran-Ranau Road, junction to OBS along KK-Papar Road, Kimanis-Keningau Highway and along the KK-Tambunan Road via Gunung Alab and Gunung Emas. St John Ambulance State Commander Datuk Dr Michael Z Atun Wee emphasised that St John Ambulance is aware that it is during this time that a lot of vehicles balik kampung (return to villages) for the Han Raya holidays and anything can happen on the road. “In view of this our trained first aiders will be on standby 24 hours to man the stations and they will be ready for any road emergencies as part of St John Ambulance’s service to the public.” “We wifi be there for you but make sure you drive safely and come back safely. Selamat Han Raya,” he said. The 24-hour emergency call centre of St John Ambulance can be contacted at 088- 231657 or 088-2706655 during this time should members of the public need emergency assistance.
